It’s strange how God works. We were just talking about which bills to defer
paying when a gift arrived and almost completely solved the problem. And
that’s the way it goes. There’s always a problem; and there has always been
a solution. One is tempted to think in anguish, “If only we could find about
a thousand others as generous as this man . . .” but God has other plans, as
He always had ever since He showered on the Israelites in the desert just
enough manna for each day. That way we have to go on putting our trust in
Him. The other way, we’d probably forget to do just that!
