If you are seeking spiritual growth and would like to hear talks by some of the great spiritual directors of our age, the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word in Birmingham, AL, have made available the first talks of many of their ongoing retreats at the Casa Maria Retreat Center. They offer dozens of retreats each year and bring in the highest caliber of priests and spiritual directors to help everyday Catholics to grow in holiness.

According to CUF President Mike Sullivan, "The retreats offered by the Sister Servants give Catholics the opportunity to learn from the greatest masters of our age. I attend a yearly retreat at Casa Maria and I can't recommend it highly enough. The setting is absolutely peaceful, the retreat masters are truly masterful, and the Sisters are a joy to encounter."

From Our Founder

It’s strange how God works. We were just talking about which bills to defer paying when a gift arrived and almost completely solved the problem. And that’s the way it goes. There’s always a problem; and there has always been a solution. One is tempted to think in anguish, “If only we could find about a thousand others as generous as this man . . .” but God has other plans, as He always had ever since He showered on the Israelites in the desert just enough manna for each day. That way we have to go on putting our trust in Him. The other way, we’d probably forget to do just that!
